Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations 2019

Swamini Pramananda or Ammaji as she is fondly called led the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Hindu Centre as she has been doing for the past few years. This time Swami Siddhabodhananda of Purna Vidya also joined the prayers. As has been the tradition, Ammaji led the prayers and then shared knowledge on Lord Ganesha. This year she explained the Stotra Ganesh Pancaratnam, composed by Adi Shankara. This prayer which is a collection of five stanzas, exhorts devotees to surrender to Lord Ganesh. Each stanza has a physical description of the Lord and also explains the real nature of Ishwara, seen here as Ganesha. The session ended with distribution of elaborate prasadam. We are looking forward to the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations next year with Ammaji.
