Bhakti – Devotional Programmes of Hindu Centre
Mass chanting sessions, bhajans and prayers for the sick are some of the activities which constitute our Devotional programmes.
Bhajans are divine, powerful and stir the deepest of our emotions. Singing bhajans is a simple yet meritorius way to discover our close connection to God. Come join the Hindu Centre’s monthly bhajans to invoke God in our hearts and seek his blessings. We look forward to your presence join us all year round for a variety of festive celebrations and activities.
Some of our on-going and yearly events are:
- Monthly bhajans on the first Wednesday of every month, 7.15pm the Hindu Centre.
- Maha Shivarathri
- Guru Poornima
- Raksha Bandhan – a collaboration with many of the other Hindu organizations in Singapore.
- Homas (havans) to invoke divine blessings of peace and prosperity for all members of the Hindu Centre. Some of the homas we have conducted thus far include the Avahanti, Ganesh, Medha and one special Shiva homa for those who suffered in Japan’s earthquake in 2011.
