Vaikunda Ekadasi@Hindu Centre

Our puranas mention that Vaikunda Ekadasi is a potent day to receive immense blessings and bring us closer to self-realization (liberation)!

The puranas talk about the asura, Muran, who was destroyed on this day. He stands for the Rajasic and Tamasic qualities in people, attributed to lust, bad desires, inertia, arrogance etc. When one is able to conquer these tendencies, one is able to attain a pure (sattvic) mind, which is required for attaining liberation. Practices such as fasting, engaging in prayers, chanting, meditating, staying overnight in Temple having the mind fixed on the Lord and keeping awake on the night of Ekadasi (being watchful of the mind) can help remove negative tendencies in us.

Join us on the 6th of Jan, to celebrate Vaikunda Ekadasi!

The event is finished.
